The Westport office is looking to add a Research Analyst that is also comfortable splitting their time in New York City. As a member of a team, you will be responsible for our market research activity, business development tracking and presentations, deal tracking and Marketing and business development overall support.

Duties included:

  • Research/tracking of US renewable energy transaction activity, maintained in an ongoing database of transaction activity, capturing both CRC and market transactions
  • Research/monitoring of general US renewable energy market activity (i.e. new technologies, sectors, policy,
  • Support business development presentations and presentation strategy (e.g. monthly/quarterly market updates for our clients/relationships and off the shelf presentations to be used for business development and client proposal presentations)
  • Deal closing checklist coordination
  • Record retention of case studies, tombstones to ensure current, accurate and full list
  • Navatar support: centralize information, maintain existing and update new investor names in the market, contacts, master/target list support, data entry & management, etc.
  • Create investor reports and dashboards
  • Target research and market research
  • Attend calls/meetings and compile notes and feedback
  • Materials creation and maintenance: credential and pitch decks, etc.
  • New Business Development Initiative support
  • Marketing support: collateral support, press support, event logistics
  • Work on special marketing and business development projects

 

Essential Education and Experience (and special skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Requires a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment required
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer and technology skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Adobe
  • Interest in Research, Marketing and Business development
  • Positive work and team attitude

Job Description:
As an Analyst, this candidate will work directly with mid to senior level management and report to a VP or Director on typical deal teams as assigned. The Analyst will take the lead on assigned modelling, presentations and other deliverables as needed Other responsibilities will include participation in financial and business due diligence, pre-engagement planning and execution, and support Associate/Senior Associate with final deliverable development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain complex financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF,trading comparables, tax equity structures and debt financing
  • Participate in day-to-day deal execution, interacting with deal team members and potentiallyclient teams, transaction counterparties and other advisors
  • Assist clients in due diligence by coordinating the information flow, attending meetingsbetween the parties, as well as reviewing and analyzing company information
  • Work independently, producing high quality deliverables such as Confidential InvestmentMemorandums, Board materials and other presentation materials for use in tax equityfinancing and M&A transactions or client pitches
  • Analyze and assist with tax equity structures
  • Support due diligence process, including management of the virtual data room

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field; Master’s degree with emphasis in Finance orEconomics preferred
  • Must pass Series 79, 63 and 82 exams within first 3 – 4 months of onboarding with firm
  • Strategic business consulting, valuation, and/or investment banking experience preferred
  • Renewable energy industry experience preferred
  • Project finance experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Financial modeling experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Passion for renewable energy

Job Summary:
CohnReznick Capital conducts renewable energy project finance transactions with a focus on tax equity, M&A, strategic partnerships and equity and debt raises. Our typical engagements include debt, equity and tax equity capital raising, advisory work and project acquisition. We are looking for someone who shows a genuine interest to learn from our highly experienced team.

As a Summer Analyst / Associate, you will get first-hand experience working on live deals. You will perform the typical duties of an Analyst / Associate with guidance and training from your deal team. Be prepared to hit the ground running as the work load can be demanding.
